From humble beginnings in the 1960’s, YWAM England and Wales has grown over the years to become a family of over 20 different operating locations.
Each team across England and Wales has a different focus, but what holds us together is our shared values and commitment to one another. Annually we gather for a family festival where we eat good food together, have teaching, hear what each other is doing and spend time seeking God together.
There are many partnerships connecting staff from different teams, some of these are expressed through networks that meet 3-4 times a year and gather people from different locations around shared passions, callings and roles. There are networks for those passionate about the arts, government, kids and young people or for smaller teams, offering mutual support and encouragement. We also collaborate in doing outreaches together here in the UK and overseas.
Our shared history as YWAM in this region has given us a great deal to be thankful for. God has used us to send hundreds of missionaries from our small island to nations all over the world. We have seen Him miraculously provide buildings and boats from which many have discovered vision and established lasting ministries in cities and towns across England and Wales. We have seen fruitful partnerships develop with countless churches and organisations leading to new initiatives that have extended God’s kingdom here in the UK and beyond.
We are hungry to see God continue to move through YWAM here in the UK. We are passionate about equipping and releasing a new wave of missionaries that will carry fresh stories of adventure, faith and vision across England and Wales into Europe and beyond.
